- Recycling Information
University Student Apartments needs your assistance in supporting the recycling program. Proper recycling is great for our environment and saves on costs. Please take a few moments to review the list of recyclable items.
Some general tips:
- Each apartment has a blue bin for you to store and transport your recyclables. Do NOT tie up the items in plastic bags. Simply dump the loose items from your apartment blue bin into the blue recycling dumpster.
- The blue dumpsters outside are for recycling only. If unacceptable items are placed in the recycle dumpster, the rest of the items in the dumpster cannot be recycled.
- Brown dumpsters are for garbage.
- If you are not sure if an item is recyclable, put it in the brown garbage dumpster.
- No plastic grocery bags
- No pizza boxes
- No Styrofoam
- No glass
Please note that furniture and other large items should not be placed in or around the dumpsters. There is a large dumpster located north of the Maintenance Building in the West Village for disposal of large items, such as furniture.
